Job Summary:
The Salvation Army Regional Finance Team are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to assist the Regional Northwest Finance Team in the provision of business support to a portfolio of corps and divisional leaders across Wales, ensuring financial control and effective decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
- To assist in supporting and guiding corps officers, finance locals and corps in their respective financial management responsibilities
- To assist in the support and guide divisional leaders in their respective financial management responsibilities
- To work with corps to prepare budgets, forecasts and longer-term financial plans
- To undertake financial monitoring visits to corps periodically depending on the level of support needed and level of risk
- To monitor corps budgets, investigate variances and alert the Field Accountant and divisional leaders of matters of concern
- To monitor and report on the performance of charity shops, cafes and similar activities of the corps
- To monitor mission support allocated to corps and report to the Regional Accountant to ensure that planned mission outcomes are being achieved (in conjunction with divisional leadership)
- To assist in ensuring corps adhere to the finance procedures
Successful candidate will have:
- Experience in the role of management accounting
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good organisational, team-working and inter-personal skills
- Experience of working with and explaining finance issues with non-finance personnel
- Experience of sophisticated accounting systems
- Part qualified CCAB/CIMA accountant
- Able to work within The Salvation Army’s Christian ethos and key values: integrity; accountability; compassion; passion; boldness and respect

- Willing to travel throughout Wales as required
- A full and valid Driving Licence

Our equine team works with horses and ponies who may have experienced neglect, mistreatment, or limited handling. Supporting their journey from intake through rehabilitation and ultimately rehoming is challenging work - but also deeply rewarding.
You don't need previous rescue or rehabilitation experience to succeed here. What matters most is your confidence around horses, your commitment to high welfare standards, and your desire to learn and grow.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing equine health and wellbeing
- Training horses through lunging and long reining
- Carrying out daily yard duties such as mucking out, feeding, pasture management, and maintaining a safe, clean environment
- Keeping accurate records and completing welfare-related paperwork
- Supporting the rehoming process, including engaging with potential adopters to help match horses with suitable forever homes

Essential
- BHS Qualification Level 2
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in equine care and husbandry
- Confidence working with a wide range of horses and ponies, including those who may be unhandled or have experienced trauma
- A genuine passion for equine welfare and making a positive difference
- Ability to work well as part of a team, alongside colleagues, volunteers, and members of the public
- Clear communication skills and a calm, flexible approach in a busy and sometimes unpredictable environment
- Confidence using IT systems to maintain accurate digital records
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience working with other animals in a rescue or shelter setting
- Experience with breaking, schooling, or rehabilitating horses, particularly those with behavioural challenges
- A full manual driving licence (for transporting animals between sites)

We are looking for a Rehabilitation Specialist to help us build a healthier nation at our club. We are looking for a Rehabilitation Specialist who will deliver Nuffield Health Rehabilitation Programmes utilising the unique Nuffield Health pathway, championing the Charitable Purpose. This role will play a crucial part in Nuffield’s long-term vision for clinical rehabilitation and will require the Rehabilitation Specialist to undertake remote (digital) and in person facilitation of exercise, emotion wellbeing support, healthy eating, and goal setting to aid the participants recovery. The pathway will involve weekly 1to1s, group exercise classes (virtual and in person), promote goal setting and self-directed activity.
You will demonstrate leadership and influencing skills, be a good communicator, organised and self-motived. As part of this role, you will work collaboratively onsite, centrally and with our Charity team and our beneficiaries. You will need excellent IT skills and hold a Level 3 Personal trainer qualification which is essential for the role. Ideally you will have previous experience working in a Rehabilitation Specialist position and an understanding of rehabilitation, along with potentially a Bsc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation (desired not essential).
As a Rehabilitation Specialist you will:

Organise and run a series of rolling 12-week rehabilitation programmes.

Facilitate and deliver both live stream and in person group exercise classes, with people that have varying degrees of abilities and physical function.

Be able to promote self-directed activity using pre-recorded on demand classes and a journal which will aid in the participants being able to self-manage their condition after the 12-week Programme.

Capability to re-calibrate exercises and intensities based on regular improvements demonstrated by changes in both effort and performance.

Identify any deterioration of participants and if necessary follow internal escalation processes, ensuring reporting is processed within a specific timeframe and that outcome data is accurately captured, which is essential in supporting our Charitable Purpose and tracking and monitoring participants progress.

Engage in 1to1 telephone conversations each week with every participant to offer coaching in terms of setting short term and long-term goals, understanding restrictions, monitoring progress, understanding and offering emotional wellbeing support, and empowering self-directed activity.

This is a part time role for 16 hours per week, this covers gym floor hours to support you to grow your Personal training hours on top of this.
