Family Action & the Role’s Impact:
We are seeking a Peer Mentoring Coordinator to develop and manage our new LGBTQ+ Peer Mentoring Programme, training and supporting Project Indigo members to become mentors in the local community.
Project Indigo is the LGBTQ+ youth service based at Off Centre at Family Action. It is open to anyone aged 16-25 who identifies as LGBTQ+ or is exploring their sexuality or gender identity. Our weekly youth group is a safe, supportive space for LGBTQ+ young people to meet each other and participate in workshops and activities. In addition to the youth group, Project Indigo offers 1-to-1 support and advice sessions with the Project Lead. The group aims to support young people to build links with the local LGBTQ+ community, build meaningful relationships and get support around issues that are impacting them. Project Indigo maintains a youth-led and person-centred approach, with this role being developed in consultation with our members to support them in accessing training and support to do community-focused work. The Peer Mentoring Coordinator’s role will be to develop a new Peer Mentoring Programme, supporting older Project Indigo members to train as mentors and deliver mentoring sessions with younger LGBTQ+ people in the local community.
Off Centre is a service that provides a range of targeted mental health focused support services to young people aged 16 to 25 who reside/are registered with a City and Hackney GP. These include: individual, counselling and psychotherapy, individual and group art psychotherapy, key-work support, out of hours drop-in service on Thursday evenings; targeted provision for children and young people of African, Caribbean and mixed heritage (ACH); and an Information and Advice provision.
The role
As the Peer Mentoring Coordinator, you will develop and lead Project Indigo’s Peer Mentoring Programme. Central to the role will be understanding young mentors’ needs and goals, and providing high quality supervisory support throughout the training and mentoring process. You will further develop the Mentoring programme, consulting with relevant organisations, liaising with partners, and keeping accurate records to monitor progress for administrative and evaluative purposes.

Job Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our new Bath & North East Somerset Drug and Alcohol service. This is a vibrant new partnership delivering substance use treatment and recovery services across Bath & North East Somerset.
Our partnership draws upon experience delivering substance use services in Bath & North East Somerset and nationally, with specialist knowledge around diverse local communities, and the community insight which only comes from hyper-localism.
As the Clinical Lead Doctor, you’ll have the chance to make a real difference to the lives of the people we support who are experiencing difficulties from drug and alcohol use.
Turning Point offers the chance to work with many addiction specialists across the country, lending both learning and support to this role.
Role Responsibility
The Clinical Lead will lead the service by:
- Leading on all aspects of clinical governance and quality assurance, including clinical audit, clinical effectiveness and patient safety
- Taking a lead on service development
- Acting as advisor on development and implementation of policy
- Championing and leading research and innovation to develop new clinical guidance and service protocols
- Working with Turning Point colleagues nationally to optimise patient care
- Providing clinical supervision, training to clinical colleagues

- Provide liaison drug and alcohol services in acute medical and psychiatric settings and expert advice to courts

The Ideal Candidate
We are currently recruiting for an Addiction Psychiatrist, GP Specialist or a suitably experienced Speciality Doctor to work as a Clinical Lead.
We are looking for an experienced doctor who can take a lead on service delivery and development. As such, both clinical experience / expertise and leadership skills are paramount.
The successful candidate will need to be accredited as ‘specialist’ in substance use treatment, and should either:
1. Be listed on the GMC’s Specialist Register as a psychiatrist with an endorsement in addiction, with the supervision and CPD requirements this entails;

2. Have training, experience and supervision equivalent to this, as certified by the GMC through an appropriate Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR);

7. Main Purpose of the Job:
The Development Worker will oversee work that meets the Lancaster District Food
Justice Partnership (LDFJP)’s charitable aims and future action plans. You will have a
passion for engaging with communities around food insecurity and issues of
poverty. You will have excellent organisational skills, the ability to work with a range
of people, work well in a team and use your own initiative. Experience of planning
and delivering community-based projects is essential for this post.
The overall aims are:

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities
● Work with LDFJP members, and the wider FoodFutures network, to further the
charitable aims of LDFJP, ensuring member organisations are sharing
information and working in a collaborative way
● Consult and engage with relevant communities and partners to ensure
co-development of solutions that appropriately meet the needs of our target
audiences
● Specific support of LDFJP food club network. This includes organising,
facilitating and chairing monthly meetings with the LDFJP’s food clubs,
regularly visiting food clubs when needed, liaising with FareShare and
Lancaster City Council regarding distribution of HSF (Household Support
Fund)
● Work with partners to maintain and develop appropriate monitoring and
evaluation and complete data collection. Ensure appropriate measures are
taken to record impact
● Promote improved understanding of broader support available to
communities
● Research possible training opportunities for staff, volunteers and
communities
● Work with partners to identify gaps in provision and development
opportunities and support with funding applications where necessary in
completing actions
● Pursue LDFJP priority issues and specific objectives including resource
development, referral pathways and public information
● Be the active link between the LDFJP and the wider FoodFutures network and
report back to the LDFJP Core Group meetings as necessary (this includes

Mercy Corps’ Sudan crisis response seeks to meet the humanitarian needs of vulnerable Sudanese and other conflict-affected people across the country. Mercy Corps Sudan is recognized as a leader in market systems, agricultural, and food security and building on this experience, the MC Sudan humanitarian program will layer in resilience and other program activities where appropriate and feasible to do so. Assistance is delivered with a focus on needs, in partnership with local actors and civil society.
Consultant Objectives:
The Sudan Policy & Advocacy (PA) Advisor will lead efforts, in collaboration with the Sudan country team members, and the Global Policy and Advocacy (GPA) team, to ensure effective policies and practices are implemented by local, regional and international actors to allow for an adequate, effective, and principled humanitarian and resilience response in Sudan.
The Sudan PA Advisor will lead on achieving the policy and advocacy objectives that align with the Mercy Corps Sudan country strategy and related country advocacy strategy. They will work closely with field teams and different internal Mercy Corps departments including program, communications, partnerships, and Crisis Analysis – Sudan teams to utilize all available resources and data to provide evidence to enhance Mercy Corps’ policy and advocacy objectives. The Sudan PA advisor will also work closely with relevant country team members to build and/or strengthen their advocacy capacity, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge and confidence to lead advocacy activities.
The Sudan PA Advisor will write policy-relevant documents - including talking points, statements, and policy briefs - for use by the Mercy Corps Sudan team as well as regional and global teams during advocacy engagements on Sudan. The Sudan PA Advisor will also work closely with the global P&A team to provide key messages and help respond to questions/requests about the situation in Sudan, our programs and recommendations on certain issues, to prepare global colleagues for relevant Sudan-related meetings and engagements. About the role
We are looking for a genuine all-rounder with good customer service skills to join our friendly maintenance team. Your workload will be extremely varied as you help to maintain one of our sites in Cheltenham.
No two days will be the same as you undertake planned maintenance work which could involve painting, dealing with dripping taps, fixing faulty extractor fans to repairing kitchen cupboards. You will need to be a self-starter as more often than not you will be working independently. As you will be expected to travel between various sites being able to drive is essential for this role.
It is likely that you will have undertaken a similar maintenance role in the past and that you will have practical DIY/maintenance skills and a working knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation.
