We are seeking a Christ-Centred, passionate, and dedicated individual to serve as a Pastor at our church located in South-East London. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in biblical teachings and theology, and be able to engage with the community to further evangelize the glory of God. The Church: Olivet Deptford Baptist Church is based in the heart of Deptford between New Cross Station and New Cross Gate. We are a short walk from Greenwich and the community includes city commuters, families with children attending Deptford Green Secondary School, and many working in the surrounding areas. We are looking for a pastor who can engage with this diverse community, bring fresh perspectives, and lead us into our next phase. This new leader should be able to inspire, guide, and support our congregation, fostering both spiritual and numerical growth, while also emphasizing the importance of community outreach and discipleship.

Key Responsibilities:

Preaching and Teaching: Deliver biblically sound and engaging sermons to inspire spiritual growth and understanding within the congregation.

Pastoral Care: Provide spiritual guidance, counselling, and support to members of the church, particularly those in need or experiencing hardships.

Community Engagement: Actively reach out to the community to encourage church attendance and promote faith-based initiatives.

Leadership and Administration: Build and oversee the various ministries within the church, working alongside church leaders to maintain and enhance church operations.

Discipleship and Mentorship: Develop and nurture future church leaders and provide mentorship to youth and adults alike.

Outreach Ministries: Continue to support and expand outreach efforts such as prison and homeless ministries in collaboration with partner organisations.

Worship Services: Plan and lead worship services in collaboration with the worship team.

Church Growth: Foster an environment conducive to numerical and spiritual growth.

Required Skills

Must be a committed Christian and a firm believer in the teachings of the Bible.

Ordained or licensed as a Baptist Pastor, with previous experience in pastoral leadership.

Strong theological knowledge and ability to apply biblical teachings in a contemporary setting.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience in community engagement and evangelism.

Ability to work collaboratively with church leaders, staff, and congregation members.

Understanding of church administration and governance.

Must have held a similar position previously.

Preferred Qualifications:

A degree in theology or related field.

Previous experience in leading church growth initiatives.

Experience with online and hybrid ministry engagement.

A passion for mentoring and developing youth within the church.

Assistant Pastor

Peverell Community Church

Peverell Community Church is looking for an Assistant or Associate Pastor, or similar, and this is a full time position. Although we envisage this as a full time position, a part time arrangement may be possible to start with. We are seeking the Lord for someone to work alongside and assist the current long serving Pastor, who is 71. This recruitment is also succession planning, for someone to eventually take up the Pastor role in the church. It is important we, and they, believe that they are called to this church to serve the Lord.
 

Required Skills

We are seeking the Lord for someone who is able to:
a. Meet the basic qualifications for an Elder in 1 Timothy 3 v 1-7 and Titus 1 v 5-9.
b. Assist in leading in all aspects of church life and service.
c. Preach and teach, and is able learn and grow in this area, and to be teachable themselves.
d. Recognise that a personal relationship with God, through Jesus Christ, and personal prayer, is essential for them and all church members.
e. Sign up to what we believe (our Statement of Faith) and to our Calling as a church (see sections 6 and 7 below).
f. Live in the Peverell area or within the city and its surrounding area.
g. Demonstrate people skills and is a good communicator at all levels.
h. Use technology and modern communications.
i. Assist in enlarging our current and growing vision for the future.
j. Assist in ensuring we comply with all legislative and mandatory procedures, best practice and policies required as a registered charity.

Hounslow West Evangelical Church is a community of God's people, located in the London Borough of Hounslow, who exist to glorify God by loving Him and loving one another.

Pastor

Horsley Evangelical Church

Our current Pastor is due to retire in the summer of 2026 and we are seeking to call a new man to take on this role and work with the other 2 elders and 4 deacons in the oversight of the church.
The church currently has 33 members and we meet twice on a Sunday with both services live streamed (Sunday morning congregation around 50 evening 20/30). We have a midweek Bible Study and Prayer Meeting, a Tots & Tinies Group one morning, age-appropriate young people's groups on one evening and there is monthly visitation in the local community.
We practice believer's baptism and open communion and are Mission minded both locally and internationally.
A 4 bedroom manse is available alongside the church.
Horsley Evangelical Church is situated in the village of East Horsley, Surrey and serves both East and West Horsley which have a combined population of 8,000 and this number is growing due to new housing developments.
 

Required Skills

The man we are looking for will know a call to pastoral ministry in general and a specific call from the Lord to pastor Horsley Evangelical Church at this time. He will be a Christian, a godly man who seeks to worship God each day in his own life and who aims to love the Lord with all his heart, soul, mind and strength. Like anyone called to spiritual leadership, he will set others an example in love, faith and behaviour. His character should exhibit the qualities in 1 Timothy 3.
He will be a man with a pastoral heart for people, seeking to build them up and encourage them in their Christian faith. He will have a heart for the lost including young people and children, always seeking ways to reach out to unbelievers with the gospel.
He will be a man of prayer, understanding his calling to include praying for God's people in the church. He will also have a love for the word of God and an ability to expound and preach the Scriptures faithfully, relevantly and with great patience. We would expect him to understand the importance of preaching the word of God in the overall task of shepherding God's people.
We want the man to be the overall spiritual leader of the church and to be assisted in that task by fellow elders. He will fully accept the FIEC statement of faith and be non-charismatic in his understanding of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Ideally the man would have previous experience of being a Pastor and have a family.

Our weekly activities include house groups, youth and children's ministries, a baby and toddler group, men's and ladies' breakfasts, and a senior lunch. We also run a lively coffee shop that serves as a hub for fellowship and outreach.
Our Team
The church is led by a team of elders, alongside a full-time Pastoral Worker and a part-time Youth Pastor, who together provide teaching, pastoral care, and leadership. Volunteers play a key role across every ministry, helping us serve our growing congregation and community.

Assistant Pastor, Associate Pastor

Fressingfield Baptist Church

FBC is a growing church in rural north Suffolk; we currently have a congregation on Sunday mornings of between 100 and 120, with 150 calling us 'home'. We are committed to sharing the life changing message of Jesus in our village and in other local villages and town, where there is little or no gospel witness.
We're excited about what God is doing here and with our pastor at capacity we need someone with a passion for Jesus, people, Bible teaching and evangelism to come a work alongside him and the leadership team to help us continue to grow numerically and be spiritually healthy.
The person appointed will be involved in all aspects of church life - ie, strategic leadership and vision setting, preaching and teaching, helping with small groups, pastoral care and evangelism. A specific responsibility will be take the pastoral lead in overseeing and encouraging our successful children and youth ministry.
This will be a full-time, permanent position with an attractive package. The position is subject to a 6 months probationary period.

The brief…what does it involve?
Come and learn with us we serve Jesus as a growing rural hub church. The role will have 3 aspects to it, with some flexibility pending the successful applicant: 

• Ministry basics: preaching, leading, small group leadership and pastoral work at MEC,
• Learning leadership: receiving regular mentoring, learning as part of the wider leadership and staff teams, other training as appropriate
• Adult evangelism: creating clear pathways from our MEC "Gospel Gateways" through to Hope Explored/Sundays and Jesus…

Required Skills

The successful applicant will be someone who loves the Lord Jesus, loves his word and loves his people. They will exhibit the biblical character requirements of a church elder, be personable and a team player. They will come with a willingness to serve, and with some prior ministry experience and training. They will be humble and teachable and be in full agreement with the FIEC Doctrinal Basis and Statements on Women in Ministry, Gospel Unity and Marriage. And they'll have a right to work in the UK.

City Church Chelmsford is a growing church plant from Danbury Mission Church and the Mission Essex Network that is growing quickly in its new city centre building. 

To help reach the city of Chelmsford with the gospel and serve our expanding church (200+) we are seeking to appoint an Assistant Pastor to join the team.

As a senior member of the staff team, the Assistant Pastor will be expected to be involved in the whole spectrum of pastoral and practical activity at an exciting time in the church's life and development.

Required Skills

1. There is a genuine occupational requirement that the post-holder is a male Christian who will be in agreement with, holds to and lives out the theological position of the church in accordance with the church's Statement of Faith and Church Characteristics. 

The post-holder must be: 
a. A mature, theologically trained Christian committed to God's Word and to growing in godliness
b. In full agreement with our Doctrinal basis of faith
c. Committed to expository preaching
2. Theological training to degree level or equivalent is essential.

3. Leadership experience within a church or Christian setting is essential.

4. The post-holder must be able to demonstrate practical experience of developing and leading youth work within a church or Christian organization and/or in a teaching or youth work setting.

5. The ability to communicate clearly and dynamically with others is essential.

Associate Pastor

Emmanuel Baptist Church, Cardiff

Emmanuel Baptist Church is a gospel-centred community in North Cardiff. Our desire is to see people come to know and grow in Christ through the faithful teaching of God's Word, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and all for the glory of God.
We are seeking a godly man to join our pastoral team as an Assistant or Associate Pastor (depending on experience). He will work closely with the Pastor and elders to strengthen the church's life and mission through leadership, teaching, discipleship, pastoral care, and outreach.
As part of the eldership, the Assistant/Associate Pastor will:
1. Leadership & Oversight
Share in the spiritual oversight of the church alongside the Pastor and fellow elders
Participate actively in elders' meetings (fortnightly) for prayer, planning, and decision-making
Contribute to the vision and direction of church life and ministry
2. Teaching & Preaching
Preach and/or lead regularly at Sunday services and other church gatherings
Communicate God's Word faithfully and clearly to both believers and seekers
Help train and support small group leaders and ministry leaders
3. Discipleship & Pastoral Care
Meet one-to-one with individuals for discipleship, evangelism, pastoral care, and mentoring
Encourage and equip church members for spiritual growth and service
Take a particular lead in strengthening men's ministry
4. Outreach & Evangelism
Build relationships with non-Christians in the local community
Encourage and support church involvement in evangelism and mission
Promote participation in gospel training opportunities and conferences
5. Practical Contribution
Be willing to assist with the organisational and administrative aspects of church life
Attend two annual ministry conferences as part of ongoing development
Be available to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends

• Has a strong grasp of Scripture and a passion for faithful, Christ-centred teaching
