Assistant Pastor

New Milton Evangelical Free Church

New Milton Evangelical Free Church (NMEFC) is a vibrant, growing, FIEC affiliated church on the Hampshire/Dorset border at the southern edge of the beautiful New Forest and just a short reach from the coast.
NMEFC is a Bible teaching, warm and welcoming evangelical church with 70 members and around 100 attending on a Sunday. As a church we love Jesus, the Bible and doing life together. We have a heart to share Christ with as many others as possible and to grow in our own faith and relationship with the Lord. We run mid-week children and youth clubs and monthly meals for the elderly, as well as regular Mens' and Ladies' breakfasts. We have a regular literature table in the town and put on various events to reach others with the gospel. New Milton is a retirement area and so we have little difficulty reaching the older age ranges. We have some families in the church and others that attend intermittently.
Our priority for the coming years is to seek greater engagement with the younger generations in the town. We are involved with local schools and value opportunities to take assembles and to invite year 4's to learn about the life of Christ and to visit the church. Ultimately, we would particularly love to see more families being won for Christ and joining the church.
We are looking for someone with a passion for Jesus and his church to join our current leadership team to help us continue to grow spiritually and numerically. The Assistant/Associate Pastor will serve in enabling us a church to improve our evangelism, coordinate and head up the work with families and develop our online media presence. Applicants will preferably have some experience in those three areas and will be able to take leadership in them.
Areas of responsibility to include, but not limited to:
• Evangelism and outreach
• Leadership and oversight of our families, children & youth work
• Lead the church in social media and digital content management
• Involvement in the local community to show God's love
• Leadership of a Home Group
• Serving alongside the church pastor and elders in leading the church.
• Sharing in pastoral care ministry to support and disciple the church
• Some involvement in Sunday Bible teaching ministry to encourage, motivate and challenge the church family
