Want a flexible role with purpose?
We're looking for a Support Worker to join our team in Cross Hands, providing consistent, high-quality support to a gentleman with a farming background and a visual impairment.
This is a casual role, offering £13 per hour, working on a Thursday for approximately 5 hours, covering when the usual worker is unavailable. It's a small commitment but for the person we support, having someone reliable and familiar in their corner means everything.
Comprehensive training is provided, so you don't need to have all the answers from day one.
What you'll do
You'll provide personalised support within the home and in the community, helping with everyday tasks such as:
- Cooking and household tasks
- Managing appointments
- Finances and admin
- Social activities and community access
What we're looking for
- Warm, kind and respectful — you put people at ease
- A good communicator who listens as much as they talk
- Enthusiastic about supporting someone to live life on their own terms
- Knowledge of sensory impairments is helpful but not essential
For genuine occupational reasons, we are looking to appoint a male candidate only (exemption under the Equality Act 2010, Part 1, Schedule 9).
Essential requirements
- Full UK driving licence with use of your own vehicle
- Business car insurance
