Location: Office-based in Rochester, Kent
Reports to: Head of Operations and Events
Salary: £27,212 – £31,849 (dependent on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (hybrid working, minimum 3 office days including Monday and Wednesday)Abigail’s Footsteps is seeking a highly organised, driven and proactive Events and Partnerships Coordinator to support our fundraising and events programme.
Job Summary
Working closely with the Fundraising and Events Manager, you will play a key role in delivering charity events, developing new corporate partnerships through research and relationship-building, and supporting partnership applications. You will also help manage existing partnerships, ensuring high-quality, tailored stewardship across our corporate portfolio.
This is a varied and rewarding role combining event delivery and partnership development. Corporate events and volunteering are central to our partnerships, and you will support the planning and delivery of engaging activities, working alongside the Fundraising and Events Manager.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in corporate fundraising and/or events who is looking to further develop their career in partnership and event management.
Key Responsibilities
· Prospect development: Identify, research and prioritise potential corporate partners, maintaining an accurate and active prospect pipeline.
· New business acquisition: Support the development of applications, proposals and presentations to secure new partnerships and grow income.
· Event management: Assist in planning and delivering key fundraising events (e.g. golf days, quiz nights, corporate dinners) and provide support for additional events as required.
· Volunteer engagement: Organise and manage corporate volunteer days, ensuring they are safe, meaningful and well-coordinated.
· Partnership support: Assist in delivering corporate partnerships through reporting, meetings, events and development of engagement opportunities.
· Partnership management: Manage a portfolio of smaller corporate partners, ensuring excellent account management, strong relationships and achievement of fundraising targets.
· Stewardship: Deliver high-quality, personalised stewardship to corporate partners to maximise engagement and retention.
· Communications: Support corporate communications across LinkedIn, e-newsletters, website and other channels, working closely with fundraising and marketing colleagues.
· Team support: Act as an integral member of the fundraising team, including responsibility for corporate administration.
Wider Responsibilities
· Support the development, implementation and monitoring of the corporate fundraising strategy and budget.
· Public speaking at events, interviews and at corporate opportunities
· Assist in managing corporate income and expenditure, contributing to targets.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the CRM/database.
· Keep informed of trends and developments in corporate fundraising and partnerships.
· Attend events outside normal working hours, including evenings and weekends, where required.

Person Specification
Essential:
· Demonstrable experience in corporate fundraising or event management, including prospecting and account management
· Strong networking and relationship-building skills
· Proven ability to deliver against targets, objectives and deadlines
· Experience planning and delivering events
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
· Highly motivated and target-driven
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and IT systems
· Willingness to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
Desirable:
· Experience preparing and delivering presentations to a range of audiences
· Experience securing corporate partnerships through pitches
· Knowledge of corporate fundraising and CSR
· Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
· Experience using CRM/database systems
· Experience managing volunteers
· Understanding of charity legislation and fundraising best practice
