Bursar's Executive Assistant
The Bursar’s Executive Assistant provides high quality administrative assistance to the Bursar as well as providing specialist expertise to support the College’s governance, legal and regulatory compliance. This role provides a highly visible interface between the Bursar and Fellows, members of staff, students, alumni and external contacts and is part of a dynamic office at the heart of the College. The Bursar’s Executive Assistant uses initiative and judgement to anticipate requirements and priorities and communicates at all levels in the College building a rapport with others. High standards of confidentiality, tact and courteousness, alongside a positive outlook and confident, flexible approach are pre-requisites for this position.

Key role responsibilities include:
- Anticipating the Bursar’s upcoming issues and priorities and support these by following up actions and taking ownership of resolving issues
- Providing a professional, efficient and welcoming response to visitors and enquiries, building strong working relationships with colleagues and internal/external stakeholders
- Providing a full secretariat function to the Finance, Investments and IT & Management committees and the Safeguarding and Data Protection advisory groups
- Taking concise and accurate minutes circulating to committee members for review and comment
- Assist with the preparation of improved Terms of Reference and a Delegation Framework setting out roles and responsibilities for decision-taking
- Developing data management policies and processes working closely with the Head of IT & Business Systems and Librarian and other Heads of Department as appropriate
- Developing and implementing a framework to support Heads of Department in maintaining their Record of Processing Activities (ROPA), Retention Schedules and Data Protection Impact Assessments

Working arrangements and salary
This is a permanent appointment (subject to a 3-month probation period).
Competitive salary range of FTE £40,000 - £44,000 pa, depending on skills and experience.
This role is being offered on either a full time (37.5 hours per week) or part time basis (min 80% FTE, 30 hours per week).
