St Catharine's College are looking to recruit for the role of an Administrative Assistant on a six month fixed term contract, to provide high quality administrative support on a range of general administration tasks and projects to support the College and its community.

Working to assist the Operations Project Manager and team of Executive Assistants (EAs) primarily within the Bursary, Operations and Master’s office, as well as the Head of Conference & Accommodation and some other functional line managers, this varied role provides the opportunity for the postholder to engage with individuals across our community on a range of exciting initiatives.

This post will suit someone who is proactive, able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively, and who has excellent attention to detail.

The Administrative Assistant will:

  • Provide general administrative support to the team of EAs and Heads of Departments on a range of tasks.
  • Take minutes at committee meetings as well as providing meeting support by preparing and formatting documents such as agendas, papers, and actions logs.
  • Assist with the organisation of College events for staff and Fellows.

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • A commitment to delivering a first class administration service to the College.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise and manage their own workload.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively, building and maintaining successful relationships with a range of colleagues across the College and beyond.
  • A well-organised and flexible approach to the varied and demanding workload; reliability, enthusiasm, flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential for this post.
  • An interest in further professional development and a willingness to identify and undertake relevant training.

Employment arrangements and benefits

  • This is a 6 month fixed term contract.
  • Salary in the region of FTE £27000 - £29,000 depending on skills and experience.
  • Part time hours 20-25 hours per week (4-5 hours each day), ideally to be worked across 5 days in College.
