About the job
We are looking to recruit a Manager for our Maryvale Young Parents’ Supported Accommodation Project in Blackburn, which has six bedsits for young families who need support to gain parenting and independent living skills to enable them to resettle in the community and live safely with their children. We aim to provide a service which is trauma-informed, strengths-based and person-centred. As the Supported Accommodation Manager you will ensure the service is providing a safe, welcoming, effective and quality service in relation to both housing management and support. You will ensure the service works closely with statutory services to support safe and healthy parenting. You will be an experienced Manager who has run a service and has knowledge of the needs of vulnerable young people and families. You will be a hands-on Manager supporting a small dedicated staff team who is happy to lead by example, be involved in all areas of service delivery and who enjoys working with young people and families. Acting as the Operational Safeguarding Lead for the service, you must have knowledge of safeguarding procedures and legislation. Experience of using database recording systems, and Office 365 is essential. The hours of the role are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday between 8:30am – 5:00pm, with some flexibility. You will also participate in the Out of Hours on Call Rota.
