Coaching: Backs/ Attack Coach (7hrs per week) 3 weekday PM Sessions (Mondays, Wednesdays Thursdays to be confirmed) training sessions @ UWE Hillside Gardens Wednesday Match days - BUCS Home Games @ Lockleaze plus Away Games Backs/ Attack Coach (5hrs per week) 2 weekday PM Sessions (Mondays and Wednesdays to be confirmed) training sessions @ UWE Hillside Gardens Wednesday Match days - BUCS Home Games @ Lockleaze plus Away Games Pay: £20 per hour Description of Services: As Men's Rugby Assistant Coach, you will be involved in supporting the UWE Rugby Programme with the following responsibilities: Delivery of on pitch sessions working with the Head Coach (to include pre-season, trials, training, BUCS fixtures and friendlies) Contributing to planned sessions to meet the needs of the participants and are progressive and appropriate with a specific focus on attacking play and backs or rugby development provision. Maintain appropriate records of participants’ progress Support the student Club Committee to run the club effectively Work with the UWE Men's Rugby Coaching Team to deliver an effective programme To actively recruit players Engage with coach education opportunities at UWE if desired You must attend the Coaches Induction at the start of the year (or watch the recording), read and make yourself familiar with the Coaches Handbook and understand UWE policies and procedures, including adhering to finance timescales regarding invoicing. Please note you must provide a like for like replacement if you are unable to attend a session. Essential requirements To hold a UKCC L2 Rugby Coaching certificate or equivalent in the specified sport, UKCC Level 1 Rugby Coaching certificate will be considered dependent on role To have experience coaching sport sessions for the specified sport To have £10m Public Liability and £5m Professional Indemnity Insurance (a waiver can be arranged for lower amounts in some cases) If you are interested, please send a cover letter linking your suitability, along with your CV to pete.burrows@uwe.ac.uk by Sunday 14th June.
