Teaching Assistant SEND 1:1 Senior School

Part-time, 31 Hours 15 minutes per week

Wells Cathedral School is seeking a caring and committed Teaching Assistant SEND 1:1 to join our Learning Support team and provide dedicated support for an individual pupil within the classroom environment.

The main duties include providing 1:1 and classroom support for a pupil with SEND and supporting their learning, wellbeing and independence whilst assisting with organisation, transitions and communication. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, the SENCo and parents/carers and help prepare learning resources and monitor progress whilst providing personal care and support where required.

We Are Looking For Someone who has experience working with children or young people (ideally with SEND experience) but general TA classroom experience would be considered, patient, flexible and supportive, has strong communication and teamwork skills and is committed to safeguarding and inclusion.

NVQ 3 or equivalent in teaching assistance or equivalent experience is essential for this role.
