Could you be our next Support Worker?
We're looking for a Support Worker to join our Day Service in Rotherham, working between 16 and 30 hours per week at £13.00 per hour on a permanent contract.
The Day Service is open Monday to Friday 8:00am–7:00pm and Saturday to Sunday 9:00am–3:00pm, so you'll need to be flexible across days, evenings, and weekends.
We support over 100 individuals with complex disabilities through engaging activities that allow them to express themselves. Our programmes cover arts, sports, and wellbeing; helping people develop communication skills and learn new things like cooking and using public transport. It's a fun, rewarding place to work. What you'll be doing:
- Delivering creative, engaging activities across arts, sports, and wellbeing
- Supporting people to develop communication and daily living skills
- Encouraging independence and confidence in everything you do
- Getting out into the community and helping people try new experiences
Who we're looking for:
- Positive, with a can-do attitude
- Caring, patient, and empathetic
- A good communicator and listener
- Passionate about enhancing other people's lives
- Flexible with shifts including evenings and weekends
- Willing to attend training to support you in your role
- Knowledge of multi-sensory impairments or learning difficulties is desirable
