A Role Where Kindness and Connection Are at the Heart of Everything You DoSupport Worker – Supported Living & Outreach | Milton Keynes
At MacIntyre, we believe everyone deserves a life that feels meaningful, connected and full of possibility. If you’re someone who cares deeply about others and wants your work to make a lasting, positive impact, this could be exactly what you’ve been looking for. We’re looking for a compassionate, reliable and warm hearted support worker to join our small, friendly team in Milton Keynes, supporting six wonderful people with learning disabilities across both supported living and outreach services.
Why This Role Matters
Every day, you’ll be part of moments that genuinely make a difference, whether that’s offering encouragement during daily routines, supporting health and well-being, or creating opportunities for fun, independence and connection. You might find yourself cooking together, planning a day out, offering guidance around tenancy responsibilities or simply sharing a chat over a cup of tea. From bowling trips and pub visits to shopping, holidays and time with friends, the people we support live rich, joyful lives and you’ll play a key role in making those experiences happen.
Working Hours That Offer Variety and Balance
This role includes a mixture of supported living shifts, sleep-ins and short outreach shifts, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and appreciates a structured but flexible working pattern.Weekday supported living shifts are 15:30 to 22:00, followed by a sleep-in, then 07:30 to 09:30. The two people you’ll support attend our Life Long Learning provision each day, giving you mornings with a clear routine.Weekend shifts are 07:30 to 15:00 and 14:30 to 22:00.Short outreach shifts are 09:00 to 12:00 or 16:00 to 20:00.
This role could be perfect for someone seeking part-time hours up to 30 per week and who is confident working independently as well as part of a small, supportive team.
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need previous experience. We’re far more interested in your values. If you are kind, patient, understanding, able to work independently, willing to learn and eager to help others live as independently and joyfully as possible, we will provide all the training and guidance you need to thrive.
Why Join MacIntyre?
You won’t just be working a shift. You’ll be building relationships that matter. You’ll become part of an organisation that truly lives its values, celebrates individuality and puts people at the center of everything we do. If you’re looking for a role where your compassion can shine, your presence truly matters and no two days ever feel the same, we’d love to hear from you.
Take the next step. Your kindness could change someone’s life, one meaningful moment at a time.
