Where Learning Looks Different and So Does the Impact
Discover a truly rewarding career at No Limits, where education happens beyond the classroom and every day brings new opportunities to make a real difference.
At No Limits, we support young people aged 16 and over with learning disabilities, including autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties. Our mission is to help them build independence, gain life skills, and grow in confidence. You don’t need previous experience, just heart, energy, and a UK manual driving licence. We’ll give you all the training you need. You bring your positive attitude and passion for helping others shine.
This is a full-time, term-time only role, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm (35 hours per week, 38 weeks per year). You’ll also have the opportunity to take part in up to three weeks of paid training and development during school holidays.
You won’t be based in a traditional classroom. Instead, you’ll work out in the community, supporting learners in real-life situations. You’ll help them develop essential life skills like using public transport, ICT, cooking, money management, and independent living. You may also accompany them to college or work experience placements. It’s a varied, people-focused role that brings something new every day.
Making a Real Difference
*Harriet is just one of the many young people whose life has been transformed through No Limits. After being excluded from school due to a speech impediment and social anxiety, Harriet found it difficult to express herself. With the help of our team, she began using a communication device to make choices and structure her day. Her confidence grew and she started doing things independently, including ordering food in a café, something she never imagined she could do.
Today, Harriet is thriving at college and continues to grow in confidence. That’s the kind of impact you can have in this role.
What You’ll Need
A full UK manual driving licence
GCSEs (Grade C/4 or equivalent) in English and Maths
A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for supporting others
No experience is required. If you’re caring, enthusiastic and ready to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
Why Join Us
At No Limits and MacIntyre, you’ll be part of a warm, supportive team that truly cares. We’ll invest in your training and development and value the contribution you make every day. You’ll go home knowing you’ve helped someone achieve something incredible.
If you’re looking for a role with real purpose, where you can grow and help others do the same, this could be the start of something amazing for both you and the young people you’ll support.
Apply now and see what’s possible when there are No Limits.

About us
MacIntyre is a national charity which supports over 1,200 people with a learning disability and/or autism.
We were founded in 1966 by the visionary parent of a child with disabilities and have been growing steadily ever since. We celebrate and develop everyone’s unique gifts, talents and contributions.
No Limits is our further education division, providing bespoke education programmes to children and young people for whom more traditional learning environments are not appropriate.
What we need from you
Perhaps you’ve worked in special education, as a Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant. Perhaps you've been a Support Worker in the social care sector. However, experience is not essential. For us, underlying ability and attitude are just as important as background and experience.
If you have not worked in the field of education before then please don’t be put off. We can provide all of the specialist training you need, but we can't train you to be kind, to have initiative, to be friendly and patient; and those are essential qualities for this work.
You must be a driver with your own transport, willing and able to travel across the area, supporting young people from their own homes. Reasonable mileage is reimbursed.
GCSEs (or equivalent) minimum C grade in English and Mathematics are essential.
Training and Development
At Macintyre we fully support your training and development. We know it can be daunting to start a new job, and not everyone learns the same way, so throughout your probation we will provide you with a mixture of eLearning, face-to-face training and mentoring support whilst on the job.
But it doesn't stop there - throughout your career with us you will have access to our own dedicated in house Learning and Development team, Quality Specialists and HR Teams. These teams, along with your Manager, will provide you with opportunities to learn and develop professionally as well as enabling and supporting you to achieve professional qualifications and career progression opportunities - all free of charge.
Pay and Rewards
We provide a range of benefits to reward and thank our staff which includes:
- 5.6 weeks' annual leave including statutory public holidays
- Workplace Pension scheme – MacIntyre will contribute 3% of your salary to all eligible employees
- MacIntyre Staff Savings Scheme
- Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) to support your health and wellbeing
- Health Cash Plan which provides money back on core health treatments such as: optical, dental, physiotherapy, chiropody (at reduced cost)
- MacIntyre Sick Pay (qualifying period)
- Life assurance scheme offering valuable benefits to your dependents
- MacIntyre Rewards Scheme which recognises and rewards staff
- MacIntyre Perks which offers up to 6% discount off leading retailers including Tesco, Curry/PC World, Costa and many more
- Access to the Blue Light Card which offers thousands of amazing discounts online and on the high street for emergency and social care staff.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (cost paid by MacIntyre)

Job Description
Looking for a rewarding role where you can change lives and have some fun along the way? Join our friendly team in Warrington as a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Support Worker.
You don't need to have prior experience - what truly matters is your kindness, your curiosity, and your genuine desire to learn. We're here to support you every step of the way with a comprehensive induction and continuous training, so you can feel confident and excited to make a real difference. If you're interested in helping people with learning disabilities and/or autism to live life to the fullest, we'd love to hear from you.
Meet the people you’ll be supporting:
You could be supporting three fabulous gentlemen who love spending time together and are firm friends. They are sociable, good-humoured and get on really well with each other, whether that’s heading out to the local pub, enjoying a meal at their favourite restaurant, tending to the garden, or working on a jigsaw at home. They also enjoy getting out for a drive and exploring new places, so your UK manual driving licence will help make those adventures possible. Whether it’s a visit to the shops, a relaxed afternoon in the park or trying something new, you’ll play a key role in helping them stay connected to the people and experiences they value most.
What will you be doing?
You’ll support people in their day-to-day lives, which could include helping out with morning routines like using the bathroom and getting ready, planning fun activities, cooking together, or supporting with appointments and errands. We’re looking for someone who’s patient, upbeat and ready to come up with ideas for meaningful (and enjoyable) ways to spend the day. You’ll also need to be a clear communicator who can offer reassurance and encouragement when it’s needed.
You'll work a mixture of early & evening shifts, including weekends and bank holidays. This role includes occasional sleep-in shifts, where you stay overnight to offer support if needed. These are paid at £60 per night.
What we’re looking for:
Someone who’s caring, open and up for learning new things
A full UK manual driving licence
A team player who values inclusion and celebrates individuality
You’ll also get access to great benefits including the Blue Light discount card, generous holiday allowance, and full training and support from day one.

Senior Support Worker

Salary:£24,440.63
Closing date:02/01/2026
Location:Warrington
Job Description
Ready for the next step in your social care career?
The Senior Support Worker Role at MacIntyre unlocks doors. It combines elements of the support worker role with those of a manager. Having a foot in both camps provides a unique insight into how we can improve.
You may feel nervous about taking the next step and wonder if you are ready? That is natural. Many of our senior team, including managers, specialists and directors found that making the move to a SSW role was the launch pad for their career.
You will be supporting some fantastic people, like Emily*, who loves getting stuck into a jigsaw puzzle, going out for lunch, listening to her favourite music and crafting. She would love someone who’s calm and patient to help her feel safe at night, so she's ready for the things she enjoys the next day.
You will check in regularly overnight to make sure Emily is settled and comfortable, and be there if she wakes up and needs a hand - whether that’s using the bathroom, having a warm drink, or just a reassuring chat. When it's quieter, you’ll help get the house ready for the morning, as you'll know the difference a fresh, welcoming space can make. If you're someone who’s passionate about people living the life they choose, we would love to hear from you.
The Senior Support Worker role unlocks doors:
- New training courses that will add to your skillset.
- New challenges and responsibilities that will grow your experience.
- A determination to lead from the front will brush up your current talents.
If you enjoy support work you will probably find that mentoring and supporting less experienced colleagues can be very rewarding. As you grow into the role of SSW you will find being able to contribute more makes the role even more enjoyable. Fulfilling your passion for people with learning disabilities to live glorious ordinary lives.
You may already have ideas about how we could improve. We want to hear those ideas and support you to put them into practice.
If you think you would be a fantastic fit for this role then please do apply.
You must be a driver with a UK manual licence.

Job Description
Are you creative and values-driven, with experience working with children or young people with learning disabilities?
Join us as an Extended Curriculum Coordinator at our Children’s Homes in beautiful Wingrave, where we support young people with learning disabilities and autism. At MacIntyre, we believe every child has the right to live a meaningful and fulfilling life, and that valuable learning can happen everywhere - not just in the classroom. This is a full-time role (35 hours per week.)
About the role
This is a key role within our team, where you’ll design and deliver activities that promote young people’s learning, engagement, and happiness outside of school hours: during evenings, weekends and holidays.
You’ll get to know each young person and their interests and strengths. From your positive relationships, you’ll create personalised programmes that help them grow in confidence, develop life skills and explore new experiences. Whether it’s organising trips, cooking sessions, creative or cultural events, your creativity will support young people’s personal development in real and lasting ways. You’ll also balance fun with practical considerations, such as budgets, resourcing activities, and providing evidence for learning.
You will work closely with our dedicated therapy team, which includes an occupational therapist, a speech and language therapist, and a therapy assistant. MacIntyre School and Children’s Homes offer a wide range of facilities for you to use in your role, including a sensory room, bouldering wall, trampoline, and ball pool.
You’ll also be supported in transforming spaces like our hall and drama room into lively, engaging environments for youth clubs and cultural events. A key part of your role will involve empowering young people to express themselves using their preferred methods of communication, including through participation in young people’s meetings.
Alongside the Registered Manager and wider team, you’ll ensure activities are inclusive, evaluated effectively, and in line with each young person’s learning targets.
#IND
About you
You’ll be someone who promotes a positive, supportive attitude to learning. You’ll have:
- Experience with children or young people with learning disabilities and/or autism
- Both a creative and practical approach to planning and delivering meaningful activities
- The ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to involving young people in shaping their own lives
Above all, you’ll share our core values: respect, compassion, ambition and partnership.
You must have a UK manual driving licence.
Who are we?
At MacIntyre School, we have four modern houses within the school campus adjacent to the heart of the village of Wingrave. Each house accommodates up to five young people in their own bedrooms, decorated and equipped to their individual tastes. The homes are registered in pairs, and staffed by large teams led by experienced Registered Managers.
We’re absolutely delighted to announce that following our recent Ofsted inspection, our Children's Homes were awarded a glowing 'Good' rating! The inspectors had some truly wonderful feedback, including:
"Staff value children's voices and use individualised communication aids creatively to gain children's views. For example, one child is helped to express their views through story telling. Staff work with the organisations' therapists to help children to develop their vocabulary. Children can regularly give their views on the home including activities, room décor and foods."
"Staff are attentive to children, and they respond promptly to help children calm when they are upset. Staff use known calming strategies, such as fragrances and massage, to help children feel better. Staff seek out ways to reduce restrictions for children, such as replacing a mechanical walking restraint with an object of reference. One professional said, ‘Staff have good insight into the underlying reasons for a child’s distress and work well to reduce incidents for them.’"

Job Description
Help people shine - join MacIntyre as a full-time Learning Support Worker and help others grow, thrive, and learn new skills everyday!
At MacIntyre, we believe that learning doesn't just happen in classrooms, it happens everywhere. We're on the lookout for creative, positive people to join our bustling team in Chesterfield, where we support over 100 people to live gloriously ordinary lives. Whether in our Learning Centres, out and about in the local area, or during the little everyday moments - a chat over coffee, a trip to the shop - every moment is an opportunity for you to support somebody to build their confidence, discover new interests, and develop life skills.
We’re all about connection – to each other, to our communities, and to meaningful experiences. That’s what our ‘Everyone Everywhere’ approach is all about. You’ll be supporting adults with learning disabilities in a role that’s as rewarding as it is varied. One day, you might be helping someone learn how to cook their favourite meal, the next you could be supporting them to volunteer, explore a new hobby, or build independence in everyday tasks. Your UK manual driving licence will also unlock opportunities beyond the local area for people to do the things they want to do.
We're looking for people who really listen, who pay attention to the little things, and who tune in to what people love, need, and enjoy. If you're thoughtful, ambitious, and willing to go the extra mile to support people to live life on their own terms, we'd love to have you on board.
"Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorships as we await further guidance from the Home Office. Applications requiring sponsorship cannot be considered at this time. We appreciate your understanding."

Job Description
Join the team supporting Callum in his first home!
Are you fun, upbeat, and ready to make a real difference in someone’s life?
We’re putting together a brand-new team to support a fantastic young man, Callum, as he takes a big and exciting step — moving into his very first home!
Callum is full of personality and has lots of interests to share. He’s been attending college for the past two years, where he's settled in brilliantly and built some great friendships. Now, he’s looking forward to building his independence with a team who really gets him.
What’s important for Callum?
- Trust is key — Callum takes time to get to know new people, and we’ll be with you every step of the way as you build that connection.
- Facial expressions and positivity matter! Callum loves to see you smile and show that you’re happy to be spending time with him.
- He enjoys being alongside his support team — encouraging him, praising him, and getting involved in his favourite activities.
Callum’s favourite things include:
- Splashing and relaxing with water play
- Watching everything from Mrs Browns Boys to High School Musical on his iPad
- Getting outdoors walking — in any weather! Callum is a big fan of litter picking and keeping active
- A love for structure and busy, purposeful days
What we’re looking for in you:
- Upbeat, encouraging, and patient — someone who takes time to build trust
- Physically active and happy to be out walking in all kinds of weather
- Confident working with others — Callum’s family will be a big part of this journey and we’ll work closely together
- Willing to be part of a small, consistent team that puts Callum at the heart of everything
- You don't have to have any past care experience but a kind, caring, creative and patient attitude is a must. We will train you on all the formal key skills you will need in terms of Emergency first aid, safeguarding and giving medication. We hold a number of training courses that you will be expected to attend whilst you are working with MacIntyre, but don’t worry, you will be given plenty of notice.
- You must however have a resilient, patient and compassionate attitude as there may be times where you will need to help Callum control and regulate his emotions and anxiety in line with his Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plan. But please do not worry, full training on this will be provided
- Driving isn’t essential — while Callum has a mobility car, he’s just as happy on public transport or walking.
If you're someone who believes in supporting people to live life their way — with fun, respect, and encouragement — we’d love to hear from you.
This is more than a job. It’s the start of something amazing for Callum — and maybe for you, too.
