The Vacancy

We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Staircasing & Income Officer to join our team, managing a varied caseload of staircasing, resale, remortgage and shared ownership transactions from instruction through to completion.

In this role, you’ll ensure all enquiries and leads are accurately recorded and progressed in a timely manner, taking ownership of your caseload and maintaining regular contact with stakeholders. You’ll work closely with customers, solicitors, valuers and mortgage advisors to deliver a smooth, efficient and professional service, providing clear guidance on leases, staircasing and resale processes while ensuring compliance is maintained at all times.

You’ll be responsible for reviewing legal documentation for accuracy, processing completion paperwork on the day of completion, and ensuring all relevant teams are notified promptly. You’ll maintain accurate records across CRM systems in line with GDPR requirements, support AML checks, and ensure data quality to support reporting and performance monitoring.

Alongside this, you’ll play an important role in maintaining and improving service delivery by producing accurate management information, supporting wider team administration, and providing flexible support to the Sales Team when required.

You’ll also attend meetings, events and open days, and respond professionally to telephone, email and voicemail enquiries.

The role requires flexibility, including occasional evenings and weekends, to meet operational needs and occasional travel required within operating regions for team meetings.

About You

You’ll ideally have GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths, along with experience in a customer-focused or property-related environment. You’ll be highly organised, confident managing your own workload, and comfortable working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, target-driven approach are essential, along with confident use of Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

It would be beneficial if you have experience within Shared Ownership or Leasehold property, a good understanding of the property sales process and mortgage market, and familiarity with Homes England guidance.

What We’re Looking For

A motivated individual who takes ownership, delivers excellent customer service, and thrives in a role where accuracy, communication and organisation are key. You’ll be joining a supportive team where your work directly contributes to successful outcomes for customers and the achievement of income targets.
