Social Media and Digital Officer
About the role
The
Social Media and Digital Officerplays a vital role in sharing English National Ballet’s story with our audiences. You’ll work across social media channels and digital platforms, supporting campaigns, projects and brand storytelling, to ensure our online presence remains engaging, accurate and well-managed.
You will work closely with content creators, internal teams and other stakeholders to ensure digital content is audience focused, optimised for each platform, and supported by clear performance insights.

responsibilitiesas
Social Media and Digital Officerwill include:
- Creating compelling content for social media channels and digital platforms, including copywriting, publishing, scheduling and reporting.
- Writing engaging captions for social posts, adapting for platforms and incorporating relevant hashtags, keywords, and calls-to-action.
- Managing the social media content and publishing calendar, ensuring channels are optimised and reflect the full breadth of the company’s work, on stage and beyond.
- Supporting the Digital Manager on content production and the delivery of digital campaigns and initiatives.
- Monitoring and analysing performance metrics across platforms.
- Keeping abreast of trends and sharing insights to inform future digital activity.
- Scheduling, writing and publishing blog posts on ballet.org.uk.
Key Selection Criteria
- Experience managing or supporting successful social media channels with an excellent understanding of what makes engaging content.
- A flair for copywriting and editing for digital platforms, with excellent attention to detail.
- Keen social user with an understanding of social media best practices and platform trends.
- Experience of interpreting performance data using analytics tools, and using insights to shape content and channel approach.
- Good time management skills with the ability to efficiently prioritise, meet deadlines, plan, and organise while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy.
- Ability to build positive, collaborative working relationships and provide a friendly service to people at all levels within the organisation and externally.
