Sessional Worker
- To work within the therapeutic and care teams responsible for the implementation, development, and evaluation of the manual programme to ensure that residents' care plan targets are being met.
- To assist with co-ordination of the day-to-day activities of the service users and to facilitate the progress of service users through the programme ensuring eventual transition back to independent living within the community.
- Help run a range of activities / structured groups designed to address service users’ emotional, social,
- health and practical needs. Including one to one support with residents where and when needed.
- Support the co-ordination of the service users’ educational, recreational and health care activities.
- Administer medication and maintain appropriate logs, in accordance with Phoenix Futures policies and procedures as required.
- To contribute to and support the service to meet targets, including occupancy, retention and admissions and discharges.
- To comply with all monitoring and recording systems used in the service.
- S/NVQ 2 in Care or equivalent, or willing to pursue
- Experience of working with substance users or similar client groups.
- Able to demonstrate awareness of cultural and community diversity and sensitivity to the needs and feelings of other people.
- Able to convey information clearly, accurately, and convincingly through speech and/or in writing Desire and willingness to address the needs of internal and external customers and service users; seeking continually to improve quality & standards of excellence.
- Contributes actively to a working environment, in which colleagues work co-operatively with each other, accepting collective responsibility Other requirements.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word and familiar with relevant database management systems.
- Ability to work rota pattern including nights and weekends.
- Valid UK driving licence (Desirable) and ability to travel .
- Subject to enhanced DBS check.
- Pro-rata Sessional Holiday Pay
- You will be paid £13.45 per hour.
