This is an exciting opportunity to deliver a range of services to adults and young people affected by adoption and permanent placement. This may include short term counselling (remote and in person), intensive therapeutic work, or group work.

Main Responsibilities:
• To provide therapeutic services to adults affected by adoption and permanent placement, including: contemporary and historic birth relatives; special guardians; adult adoptees; prospective adopters; adoptive parents and carers.
• To have an active interest in working with people of different racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
• To set up and maintain accurate and factual written case records for all service users using our PAC-UK database and electronic/hard copy filing systems, also ensuring that all mandatory forms are completed.

Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):
• Experience relevant for your effectiveness in the role might be from various sectors and disciplines such as : Psychotherapy, Counselling, therapeutic social work
• Appointments are subject to Family Action receiving a satisfactory disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and the required references.
