Working pattern: Permanent Contract, Full-Time (35 hours per week) 8.00am to 3.30pm, Term-time only 39 weeks per year

Role Overview
Dawn House School is looking for an organised and proactive School Administrator and Reception Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will be the first point of contact for parents, visitors, staff and pupils, providing a professional reception and administrative service within our busy school environment.
We are seeking someone with excellent communication and organisational skills who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys working as part of a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
Reception Duties
- Welcome visitors, parents, contractors and delivery staff in a warm and professional manner
- Answer telephone enquiries, take messages and manage voicemail communications
- Follow safeguarding procedures including visitor sign-in processes and DBS checks
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff
Administrative Duties
- Prepare and distribute daily school briefing information
- Maintain attendance and late arrival records using Arbor
- Support with photocopying, printer supplies and office resources
- Assist with hospitality arrangements and meeting room bookings
- Support ordering of school resources and vehicle bookings
- Provide general administrative support across the school
Information Systems
- Use Arbor and ParentPay systems effectively
- Update parents and staff regarding events, trips and school information
- Monitor and respond to Arbor communications appropriately
What we are looking for
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a busy office or reception environment
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, email and internet use
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and remain calm under pressure
