Our Homelessness Services works to break the cycle of homelessness through a range of tailored support to individuals and families - through Lifehouses, NAP pads, Housing First, practical support to rough sleepers?, floating support and outreach services, and addiction services.?
We are looking for a Relief Assistant Support Worker to join our teams across our London Lifehouses (Cambria Lifehouse - WC1N 1BJ, Founders House Lifehouse - E1 5NG, Southwark Young People Service - SE5 8DF, St Ann's - SW1 2DE, No.10 Day Centre - W1B 2LH and Malachi Place - IG1 1EQ).
We are looking for individuals who are PIE informed and highly motivated. You will work with The Programme Team to provide a range of activities to empower individuals to move on to independent living and complete day to day activities to support the successful operations of the Centre
To be successful in this role you will have…
- Motivation towards supporting vulnerable clients to achieve focused and positive outcomes.
- Previous experience of successfully working in a busy environment and/or delivery excellent customer service.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- The ability to understand and successfully implement processes and procedures related to your area of work.
- Good attention to detail and proven ability to meet your objectives.
- Previous experience of successfully working in a team environment.
- Good IT skills with previous experience of using Microsoft Office.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- The ability and willingness to work within, be emphatic with and promote the Christian ethos and values of The Salvation Army.
