Are you a Registered Nurse looking for a unique role that’s professionally stretching, emotionally meaningful and genuinely rewarding? At Derian House Children’s Hospice, you’ll be part of something truly special — helping ensure no child or family faces life’s hardest moments alone.

We care for babies, children and young people with life‑limiting conditions from across the Northwest, supporting families to make the most of every precious moment. While end of life care is a core part of what we do, many of our children and young people attend Derian House for many years before this, and that time is used to provide fun, comfort and lasting memories for the whole family. Our team is small, skilled and deeply committed, and you’ll play a vital part in delivering exceptional care both in our hospice in Chorley and in the wider community.

As our service grows and our 3–5 year plan takes shape we’re creating new opportunities for nurses who want to develop and thrive. We are investing in rotational roles that work across our in‑hospice and community services, giving you the chance to build breadth of experience in a genuinely varied role. We invest in our people, offering access to an in‑house clinical education team, a dedicated clinical skills lab, and ongoing professional development tailored to your aspirations. We also welcome applications from nurses with non‑traditional routes into practice, including those with learning disability qualifications and those from non‑paediatric backgrounds who have the right transferable experience.

We will be holding an informal opening evening planned for the 9th June 4.00 – 8.00 pm and will be an opportunity to have a look around, meet staff and find out a little more about Derian House, if you wish to register your interest please contact hr@derianhouse.co.uk to register your interest.

If you want to make a real difference that values compassion, expertise and continuous learning — Derian House might be where you belong but don’t delay with submitting your application, we reserve the right to close this advert once we have received enough applications.
