About the Role

The Rapid Response Senior Navigator plays a critical role within the SV Alliance Intake Service, supporting survivors of sexual violence at the point of first contact and ensuring safe, timely and coordinated responses across the Alliance.

You will provide senior practice oversight, risk and safeguarding guidance, and operational support to Navigators, while helping ensure a consistent, high‑quality survivor journey from first contact through to onward support. This role combines direct survivor‑facing work with senior practice leadership, partnership working and service coordination.

This role is offered on a 2-Year Fixed-Term Contract.

Job Description

As the Rapid Response Senior Navigator, you will:

  • Provide senior guidance on complex, high‑risk or urgent survivor contacts
  • Support navigators to triage, assess risk and prioritise referrals effectively
  • Ensure timely follow‑up and coordinated onward referrals across Alliance partners
  • Oversee safeguarding practice, escalation pathways and quality assurance activity
  • Support rapid response, stabilisation, safety planning and holding support
  • Contribute to monitoring, data quality, reporting and service improvement
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partner agencies
  • Promote trauma‑informed, survivor‑centred and anti‑oppressive practice across services

For key responsibilities please see the attached job profile document.

We'll assess you against these competencies during the selection process:

  • Direct Work with Survivors / Trauma-Informed Practice
  • Risk Assessment and Safeguarding
  • Black Feminist Values

When responding to competency questions, if you do not have direct experience, please state this clearly. Then explain what you would do if you were in that scenario, so we can understand your thought process and approach.

Closing Date and Interviews

This vacancy is open to applications on a rolling basis, with interviews conducted as applications are received.

We encourage early applications, as the role may close before the advertised closing date due to a high volume of applications or once a suitable candidate has been appointed.

Important Note on Use of AI in Your Application

We understand that AI tools can be helpful in organising thoughts and reflecting on experiences. However, the competencies and presentation you submit should be a genuine and accurate reflection of your own skills, knowledge, and lived experience. We encourage you to ensure your application is written in your own voice, drawing directly from your experiences and motivations.

Please note that applications or submissions that appear overly reliant on AI-generated content, or do not clearly reflect your own voice and experience, may affect your overall interview scoring.
