Job Description

Role - Project Supervisor

Pay Scale: 14-16

Department - Fieldwork

Location: Andover

Report to: Project Officer

Responsible for: Archaeologists and Trainees

Purpose of role

Main duties and responsibilities:

Deliver own fieldwork projects to time, budget, quality and health and safety requirements.

Author typescript fieldwork reports efficiently and accurately.

Undertake additional duties appropriate to the role as required.

Personal specification

Essential

The ability to author typescript fieldwork reports efficiently and accurately.
The ability to organise, motivate, train, appraise and direct staff.
A full manual driving licence.
Basic competence in Microsoft applications including Word and Excel.
Competent in carrying out first aid.

Desirable

Experience of driving 4x4 vehicles, vans and minibuses.
Possession of a current and valid CSCS Health and Safety Card or recent CSCS test pass.
Membership of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists
