At St Elizabeth’s Centre, we are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our specialist multidisciplinary team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate wanting to build a career in Positive Behaviour Support, behavioural therapy or clinical services.

About the Role

Using a therapeutic Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approach, you will manage a caseload of learners and residents with complex behavioural, emotional, and developmental needs. You will complete assessments, develop bespoke support plans, and work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to deliver person-centred outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Conducting behavioural assessments and developing individual PBS plans
  • Analysing and reviewing intervention effectiveness
  • Leading reflective practice sessions, debriefs, and specialist supervision
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, families, and external agencies
  • Promoting therapeutic approaches, de-escalation strategies, and reduction of restrictive practices
  • Maintaining accurate records and professional documentation
  • Contributing to service development and continuous improvement initiatives

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about improving outcomes for people with complex needs and who brings both expertise and empathy to their practice.

  • Degree or professional qualification in a relevant field such as: 
    • Psychology
    • Positive Behaviour Support
    • Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)
    • Mental Health
    • Intellectual Disability
    • Teaching, Nursing, or Social Work with relevant specialism
  • Experience supporting children or young people with learning disabilities and complex needs
  • Strong understanding of Positive Behaviour Support and behaviour management approaches
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
