The Directorate of Planning & Governance is recruiting a Planning Analyst (Maternity Cover) who is passionate about data to join the Directorate’s expanding data analytics team to provide high quality data visualisations and analysis.

This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual with excellent analytical and communication skills.
The Directorate of Planning & Governance is a vibrant, high-performing team responsible for strategic planning, monitoring of key performance indicators, risk management, provision of management information and data analysis, business intelligence, student population planning, league table and other external data monitoring, and project portfolio management.
The Planning Analyst (Maternity Cover) will provide high quality data, data analysis and forecasting services to support the University’s strategic planning and decision-making activities taking a proactive role in the development of business intelligence and Power BI dashboard development. The Planning Analyst will be responsible for data visualisations and analytical reports to report on internal and external data, and will assist in further development of reporting and modelling in business intelligence (BI) systems run by the Directorate to meet data needs.
Applicants should have excellent statistical and data analytical skills, with experience of data analysis and forecasting, working with large data sets, and a demonstrable experience of BI tools and dashboard development. Strong organisational skills along with excellent written and oral communication skills are also required.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 6, £38,784 to £46,049 with placement according to qualifications and experience.
