This is a remote role; however, candidates should be based in or able to travel to York, Hull, Teesside or surrounding areas.

ABOUT THE ROLE
- Gain hands-on experience delivering counselling to parents and adults within a community and family-focused service
- Support parents and adults to explore emotional challenges and strengthen wellbeing and family relationships
- Develop your clinical skills through regular supervision, mentoring, and reflective practice
- Apply your learning in real-life therapeutic work, building confidence and professional capability
- Work as part of a supportive, values-driven team within a leading children’s charity
- Build a strong foundation for your counselling career, including experience of safeguarding and family-focused support
ABOUT YOU
- You are currently studying a counselling qualification (Level 4 or above) and are ready to begin or progress your placement
- You are passionate about supporting adults, parents, and families to improve their wellbeing
- You bring empathy, warmth, and the ability to build safe, trusting, and boundaried relationships
- You are reflective and open to feedback, using supervision to support your learning and development
- You understand the importance of safeguarding, confidentiality, and working within professional and ethical frameworks
- You are motivated, reliable, and committed to developing your skills and confidence in a real-world counselling environment
