Hope House Children’s Hospices have an opportunity for a full time Band B Physiotherapist to join our team based in Ty Gobaith, Conwy. You will join us on a permanent basis, working full-time 37.5 hours per week, a typical week is Monday to Friday, with expectation to working flexibly on weekends and out of hours to meet the needs of the service. In return, our Physiotherapist will receive a competitive rate of £31,826 - £38,742 per annum, FTE depending on experience.

About the Physiotherapist role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our Therapies Team and take part in the delivery of the clinical therapy service across the organisation, ensuring holistic, child and family centred care. You will work using your own initiative and as a team member.

Participating as a member of the hospice care team, with support you will implement new and existing therapy programmes, monitor these and adapt in liaison with the young person, their family and home-based therapist. You will work in collaboration with other services providing care and support for the family.

You will support on the education, training and development of other care team members, as well as encouraging a reflective and evidence-based approach to the therapy service by involvement in audit, policy & procedure and service development.

You will be flexible in your approach to work, with travel in our local communities and to both hospices which will involve working hours to meet the needs of the children and their families.

We are looking for a Physiotherapist who:

  • A degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy
  • Is registered with the HCPC
  • Has knowledge of the needs of children and young people with life-limiting conditions and children’s palliative care
  • Ensures the effective day to day clinical prioritisation to meet the clinical needs of the children and young people utilising evidence-based practice
  • Is a confident swimmer and have or be able to complete ‘Shallow water evacuation training’
