PERFORMANCE NETBALL COACHJOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Performance Netball Coach

Responsible to: Director of Sport

Main Purpose: To support and enhance the delivery of the schools outstanding Netball programme

Roles and Responsibilities:

To plan and deliver engaging and purposeful netball coaching sessions to teams, individuals and small groups that stretch and challenge all involved

• To develop the technical proficiency of all Sedbergh netballers

• To contribute to a netball coaching programme that develops our pupil’s tactical awareness, decision making and game understanding

• To work with the Head of Netball to develop and implement a Sedbergh Coaching strategy across Sedbergh Prep, Senior and wider Schools Group

• To be a motivating presence at weekly training sessions and fixtures

• To be a role model for our aspirational netballers and supporting their preparation for performance netball trials with county, NPL teams and post-Sedbergh university or alternative routes

• Proactively engage in your own Netball CPD and support the wider coaching team by sharing learning

Support development of teams and individuals by driving the use of performance analysis tools including team and individual video analysis, feedback, and testing data

• Support with the running of Sports Scholarship Assessments, engaging with netball related recruitment

To assist with administration tasks related to, including fixture preparation and engaging with the use of school systems (including socs, isams and evolve) to organise and register fixtures and games afternoons and log injuries.

• To represent Sedbergh Netball at Sporting and wider school events and functions as required

Support Sedbergh Schools Group with recruitment of pupils into Sedbergh School and Sedbergh Courses, engaging with prep school and wider recruitment environments

Work with Head of Netball to develop the netball programme in line with their strategic aims and objectives, including driving performance outcomes across the programme.

• To take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding of children and young people
