About NUSU:

We are Newcastle University Students' Union (NUSU) an innovative, and student-led organisation dedicated to making the university experience unforgettable. As a charity, we are committed to enriching student life through exciting opportunities, wellbeing support, and championing the student voice. Working closely with Newcastle University, we’re right at the heart of campus, offering a dynamic space that includes a live music venue, bar, supermarket, merchandise shop, food outlets, study spaces and more.

The role: Looking for a flexible part-time role that fits around your studies? This is a great opportunity to help shape memorable student experiences across recreational, social, sporting, and volunteering activities.

This role is central to delivering a diverse and engaging programme through our Give It A Go (GIAG) initiative and wider Opportunities offer. You will help create vibrant, inclusive experiences that encourage students to connect, try something new, and feel part of campus life.

You’ll play a key role in delivering engaging events, working directly with students, and supporting the development of the programme through feedback and ideas. In doing so, you’ll help ensure our offer reflects student interests, encourages participation, and remains fresh and relevant.

You will also be a visible and approachable presence at activities, helping students feel confident to get involved, meet others, and explore new opportunities. Contributing to a welcoming and inclusive campus environment.

What we offer:

  • Variable contract with flexible hours to suit your lecture schedule.
  • Full training
  • Student discount
  • Discounted food in our shop (Co-op) and bar (Wetherspoons)
