Seashell Trust is a national charity supporting children and young people with complex learning disabilities, multi-sensory impairments, autism and high medical needs. Based in Cheadle Hulme, we provide education, care, therapy, and outreach services, and are undergoing an exciting campus transformation, including a new college build.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Newly Qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our well‑established and highly skilled Health Team. Working alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Audiologists, Nurses, and Assistive Technologists, you’ll receive comprehensive support as you grow your clinical skills within a CQC‑registered specialist service.

As a Newly Qualified Speech and Language Therapist, you’ll:

  • Deliver specialist speech and language therapy assessments and interventions for children and young people with complex communication needs.
  • Manage a defined caseload, planning, delivering and reviewing personalised therapy programmes.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to support assessment, goal setting and progress reviews.
  • Support the development of functional communication, including the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) where appropriate.
  • Produce clear therapy programmes, reports and clinical records in line with professional standards.

What We’re Looking For:

  • BSc/MSc in Speech and Language Therapy
  • HCPC registration or in process of obtaining
  • Experience supporting children or young people with complex and/or physical needs (placements accepted)
  • Strong communication, organisation, and report‑writing skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to CPD and reflective practice
