Music Services Manager
Music Services Manager
The Amber Trust seeks to appoint an individual to lead Amber’s Music Services: Little Amber, AmberPlus, With Music in Mind, and Amber Together. The postholder will be confident and sensitive when liaising with the families of children with a range of disabilities.
We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in music and working with children and families. The role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within our small and friendly core team, whilst managing a cohort of freelance music practitioners across the UK.
This is a 30-hour per week (0.8) permanent post and we are aiming to appoint someone who can start in late July to facilitate a handover with the existing post-holder.
The Amber Trust operates as a fully remote organisation, with all staff working from home. Applicants should be comfortable with remote working as the norm. The team meets in person approximately six times per year, typically in London, and so candidates must be able to travel for these meetings.
The role includes:
- Programme management (i.e. contracting, pairing families with practitioners, carrying out reviews)
- Programme development (i.e. developing training and good practice, responding to demand)
- Communications (i.e. working with Comms colleagues to identify case studies and produce content)
- Meetings (i.e. organising committee meetings, liaising with families, schools and practitioners)
- Reporting (i.e. gathering data for funders, collating financial information)
- Taking on the Designated Safeguarding Person role
