Mosaic 1898 Direct Payments Support Service are assisting a woman to recruit an experienced mental health support worker.
The position is for 3 hours per week to be worked Monday and Wednesday evenings 7.00-8.00pm and Friday mornings 10.00-11.00am.
Person Specification
We are looking for a caring, empathetic, and patient Support Worker to provide consistent and person-centred support. This role would suit someone with experience in mental health support and the ability to build a positive and trusting rapport.
About the Role
You will provide regular, supportive contact to enable the individual to:
• Share concerns in a safe and supportive environment
• Talk through intrusive thoughts and receive reassurance
• Be supported to reflect on and manage impulsive behaviours that may place them at risk
• Attend health appointments with encouragement and support
• Maintain their health needs, including regular self-catheterisation through verbal encouragement

• Comfortable working independently and using your own initiative
• Diligent and conscientious in your approach

• Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
