Are you an experienced tradesperson with multi-disciplinary skills? Do you have a recognised trade qualification? Are you looking to work to a set shift pattern? Do you want to work in an interesting, creative in-house environment where no two days are the same?
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Electrical disciplined Tradesperson to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across our portfolio of buildings based in Stratford-upon-Avon. You will be working shifts in a small, friendly and competent team, carrying out repairs and maintenance in a creative environment across our 3 theatres, in office locations and workshops across the wide estate within Stratford on Avon
The shift pattern is: 4 days on, 4 days off, working alternate 4-day shifts of 12:00 to-23:00, and 07:30 to 18:30, 35 hours per week average. Out of hours callout facility will be required to be completed which currently is 4 nights in every 16.
Reporting to the Estates Services Manager, key responsibilities will include (see the Role Profile for the full list):
- Attending breakdowns and carrying out repairs, including electrical maintenance work to building systems, and assets, ensuring they are progressed to completion efficiently and within agreed time frames.
- Repairing lighting circuits, power outages, troubleshooting on Air Handling HVAC equipment and control systems within the RSC workshops and offices across our whole estate.
- Diagnosing faults in electrical services, ability to use test equipment to identify the cause of the faults and returning assets back to safe operational use.
- Completing minor plumbing repairs within the closed heating systems and drinking water services.
- Assisting with project work when required, installing new electrical equipment and services.
- Carrying out a variety of statutory PPM tasks based around HVAC building Services and be familiar with the SFG20 concept.
- Working in accordance with all relevant health and safety legislation, codes of practice and company procedures.
To be suitable for this role, you must have:
- A recognised trade qualification in Electrical Engineering City and Guilds or NVQ level 3.
- Have at least 5 years' experience within a HVAC multi-disciplined environment.
- Ability to use test equipment appropriately when diagnosing faults.
- Ability to work at heights, using step ladders, mobile scaffolding and mobile platforms. Working in confined spaces in a variety of work conditions.
- A good understanding of health and safety requirements.
- The ability to travel between RSC sites.
A flexible approach is required for the purposes of occasional overtime to cover absence and annual leave as the business requires. The role is based in Stratford-upon-Avon with occasional travel to our London locations once or twice per year.
