Lecturer in Applied Theology (part time)
Overview:
We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity to join our team at Moorlands College as a Lecturer in Applied Theology. Moorlands’ vision is to equip people, passionate about Jesus, to impact the church and the world.
The successful candidate will play a significant role in the spiritual and community life of the College. We are looking for someone to help equip students, both onsite and at a distance, by teaching various aspects of Christian life and ministry, primarily in the areas of Christian Doctrine and/or Mission. Other responsibilities include alongside colleagues to shape and form modules’ content and assessment and, if appropriate, the personal and group tutoring of students.
Candidates will be qualified at least to Masters level and have experience of working in or with Christian organisations, ideally in a leadership role. It will be advantageous to have previous experience of higher education teaching, and the ability to equip students for a range of professional destinations, including church, charity, and community work. Candidates must be proactive, passionate about their subject area and able to engage with students to act as inspiring role models.

Hours: 16 -20 hours a week
Salary: Pro-rata £17,110 – £21,388 per annum
