Bristol City Football Club are looking to for an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to work in our busy kitchen at The Robins High Performance Centre in Failand and help keep our Kitchen in an immaculate and organised condition and support our cooking staff with the serving of meals.

The Robins High Performance centre is a state-of-the-art training facility based in Failand where Bristol City First Team and Academy teams train alongside Bristol City Women’s FC. We deliver over two hundred meals a day through our two restaurants so it’s a busy environment, but we have a great friendly team who all work together to deliver great service so that our squads can focus on their on-pitch successes.

This is an entry-level role but you’ll be an invaluable member of our kitchen team and play a vital part in making sure our kitchen is always sanitised and organised and the kitchen runs smoothly.

Duties and responsibilities of a Kitchen Assistant include:

  • Serving of healthy and nutritious meals to Players and Staff
  • Clean food preparation areas and equipment, in addition to crockery and cutlery.
  • Keep the Restaurant and serving areas organised and rubbish free
  • Maintenance of restaurant and office coffee machines and keep office kitchen areas fully stocked and hygienic
  • Work with stock ordering system to ensure produce is delivered to deadlines and not over ordering
  • Ensure all rubbish and recycling is removed from the kitchen area in a safe manner and placed in the correct areas
  • Assisting Kitchen Porter at busy times
  • Sweep and mop floors at the end of shifts
  • Ensure that all service tables are cleaned and sanitised before and after each meal sitting
  • Maintain good relationships across the kitchen to ensure good working practises and a one team approach

The Kitchen Assistant will be primarily responsible for the cleanliness and functioning of the restaurant and service area in line with regulations and instruction from the Head Chef. The role will provide practical support to the catering team to ensure they are able to carry out their roles. As a Kitchen Assistant you will be expected to act as a representative of Bristol City Football Club and uphold the highest standards of customer care and presentation throughout your role. Your duties will be both kitchen and player focussed and from time to time, you may be required to carry out additional tasks deemed reasonable for your position.

You will have:

There are no specific qualifications required, but a good general secondary education is useful and we are also looking for someone who is prepared for a physically demanding role with a positive outlook who can join our team behind the team.

We will give you:

  • The opportunity to be part of the exciting world of professional football and join a busy and thriving Kitchen team
  • A competitive salary and benefits package

We have various shifts available across the full week but hours are daytime shifts. We do on occasion ask for flexibility in these hours as in football things can change quickly so the kitchen needs to accommodate this to keep things running smoothly.

As the job is situated on Clevedon Road in Failand it would be ideal if the applicant has own transport.

How To Apply:

Applications are to be sent by email to careers@bcfc.co.uk. Applications should include a covering letter (max. 1 page) on the experience you have that makes you suitable for the role and should be accompanied by a current CV (max. 2 pages).

Closing date: Midday on Friday 19th June 2026

Due to the high volume of applicants we receive, if you have not been contacted one month after applying, please assume your application has been unsuccessful.
