The IT Support Technician role will be base within the IMaT (Installation, Moves & TRP) team within the Directorate of Digital & Information Services, primarily involved with the configuration & life cycle management of the Universities PC estate
Job Description
You will be an enthusiastic junior IT professional, keen to develop your own skill set and career in a fast-paced Information Technology department. You will have experience of PC build & deployment technology, with a focus on excellent customer service and support.
You will have relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in an appropriate subject area. You will also have a good working knowledge of the PC hardware, operating systems, and connectivity. You will be self-motivated, but also able to work closely with others, with a good eye for details and the ability to develop and contribute to process development.
The role involves substantial manual handling and lifting.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 3, £26,565– £27,920 per annum with placement according to qualifications and experience.
