Location: Covent Garden, London
Salary: £39.11 per hour inclusive of pro rata holiday entitlement and preparation time.
Contract Type: Fixed Term
Hours of work: Fridays 18:30 – 20:30 during term-time, starting September 2026, fixed-term for one academic year.
About the role
We are looking for acting teacher(s) to join our faculty who has a specialisation in improvisation and/or comedy improvisation. The successful candidate will plan, teach and evaluate courses, helping to bring together people across the capital and beyond and to enrich lives through learning.

You’ll contribute to our thriving School of Performing Arts. Improvisation courses are part of an exciting provision of acting and theatre courses, ranging from beginners to advanced, including accredited drama courses and City Lit Theatre and Radio Theatre Companies.

- Relevant training in improvisation / comedy improvisation for actors
- Experience in teaching / facilitating improvisation and/or comedy improvisation
- Experience of teaching adults in groups
- Understanding of how to assess and track student progress and support students to overcome barriers to learning.
- Enthusiasm for improvisation that can inspire and attract students.
