General Fiction & Horror Writing Tutor(s)
Location: Covent Garden, London/Online
Salary: £38.72 per hour, inclusive of pro rata holiday entitlement and preparation time
Hours of Work: Variable
Are you a dynamic and creative tutor with a passion for writing fiction? Do you have practical knowledge of the horror genre?
Then join us to develop and teach up to three fiction courses starting between February and April 2026:
- HW353 Starting your novel – Mondays, 20 April — 13 July, 17:30 – 19:30
- HW438 Creative writing: getting started – Saturday, 21 February, 10:30 – 16:30 (1 session)
- HW635 Writing horror – Tuesdays, 17 February — 24 March, 19:00 – 21:00
We are particularly interested in hearing from those with a strong publication profile in fiction (novels and/or short stories).

Specific Learning Disabilities (SpLD) Tutors (Talent Bank)

About the role
We are looking for Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) Support Tutors to join our Talent Bank for future opportunities and cover as needed.
This role requires experienced and innovative Tutors to plan and deliver SpLD study support, enabling students to overcome barriers to learning on a range of City Lit courses, from entry level to Level 5. The ideal applicant(s) will be committed to supporting students to acquire strategies that support independent learning and should be confident to introduce students to, and support the use of, assisted technology.

You’ll be a key contributor to our thriving School of Visual Arts, where we offer courses in a diverse range of subjects including photography, fashion, painting and drawing and ceramics. The successful candidate will maintain information on records and databases, produce reports, assist with administration related to curriculum planning, process course amendments, and provide guidance and support to our tutors and students.
