Hospice Reception Volunteer
Details
As the front-line contact at the Hospice you will provide excellent face to face and telephone customer service to our patients, their loved ones, supporters and external contacts. You will provide basic administrative support to the admin team and process donations and sales through the till.
General responsibilities and duties:
- Greeting visitors to the Hospice.
- Receiving post and parcels.
- Handling and transferring telephone calls using a small switchboard.
- Liaise with staff upon the arrival of visitors and contractors to the Hospice.
- Accept and process donations, promoting Gift Aid on all donations made.
- Photocopying and operating the franking machine for outgoing post.
- Operating sales via the EPOS till for the small Hospice shop and staff/visitor food orders.
- Ad-hoc admin/reception duties.
