As a Health Transport Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of our mission to connect human kindness with human crisis. You’ll provide vital transport and emotional support to vulnerable individuals, helping them access medical care, regain independence, and feel cared for. Could you be the reassuring presence someone needs on their journey to recovery?

  • Supporting people to and from hospitals, care homes, and their own homes.
  • You will work as part of a team responsible for providing discharged patient transport in a safe, comfortable, and sympathetic manner. The role involves driving and assisting patients with different requirements based on their mobility classification. You'll be an expert driver confident in observing road and driving conditions at all times.
  • Carrying out risk assessments and using mobility aids to ensure safe transport.
  • Offering emotional support and signposting to other services like shopping help or social groups.
  • Keeping accurate records and reporting any changes in wellbeing or incidents.
  • Great people skills and the ability to communicate clearly and kindly.
  • A full UK driving licence which allows you to operate a manual transmission vehicle. (please note that, due to vehicle insurance policy requirements, applicants must have held their licence for a minimum of two full years).
  • Confidence using Microsoft 365 and managing your own time.
  • Experience supporting individuals with physical or mental health needs.
  • A flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends.
