Are you a forward-thinking HR leader looking to shape culture and drive meaningful change across an organisation at the heart of the healthcare system?
We’re seeking an exceptional Head of People & Culture to play a pivotal leadership role in delivering an engaging, high-performing workplace. Sitting within a strong strategic leadership structure, you will work in close partnership with the Deputy Director to bring our People strategy to life translating vision into impactful delivery across the organisation.

About the role
As Head of People & Culture, you will provide visible leadership of the People function, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, people-centred service. Acting as the organisation’s senior operational People lead, you will translate strategic direction into practical, effective solutions that drive performance and engagement.
You will:
- Act as a trusted senior advisor, shaping and embedding people frameworks, policies and best practice that support organisational goals
- Lead on complex and high-risk employee relations matters, providing expert guidance and assurance
- Drive organisational learning, leadership development and management capability to build a confident and future-ready workforce
- Partner closely with the Deputy Director and senior leaders to deliver and evaluate the People strategy and HR business plan
- Champion a positive, inclusive and values-driven culture, ensuring our people experience reflects who we are and what we stand for
About you
You are a confident and credible senior HR professional who combines strategic thinking with hands-on leadership. You’re passionate about building inclusive, high-performing cultures and have a track record of influencing at senior level.
You will also have:
- Chartered CIPD membership (or equivalent experience)
- Significant experience leading the full employee lifecycle and people strategy
- Strong leadership experience, with a proven ability to build and develop high-performing team
- Expertise in complex employee relations and organisational risk management in a unionised environment
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills
