Job Title: Front of House – Summer Seasonal
Reports To: Visitor Services Manager
Dates, seasonal: Monday 13th July 2026 – Sunday 6th September 2026

Based at: Discover Bucks Museum, 9 Church Street in Aylesbury.

As Front of House you’ll provide a great first impression, exceptional customer service, and a hands-on approach to helping every visitor.

The role is very varied, and you’ll work across the following areas:

Ticket & Info Desk

You’ll be a friendly first face, able to answer queries, explain prices and know what’s on. You’ll be confident upselling tickets, annual passes and shop items. You’ll be happy using the till, handling cash and card transactions and navigating our ticketing system.

Café

In the café you’ll serve visitors drinks, cakes and snacks. You’ll be aware of food hygiene and safety, as well as operating our coffee machine and till. You’ll be proactive in ensuring tables are cleared and cleaned quickly, and stock is topped up.

Saxons Exhibition

You’ll be ensuring our historic objects are safe and secure as well as engaging and inspiring visitors, so they get the most out of their visit.

Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery

You’ll be proactive in making sure the space looks it’s best and every family has the most whizzpopping time.
