Finance Volunteer
Time Commitment: Flexible, ideally one morning or afternoon a week
Location: Minchinhampton, Stroud
Could you spare some time to support the work of Longfield Community Hospice? We are looking for a Finance Volunteer to support our Finance Team with a range of administrative and financial tasks that help ensure the smooth running of the hospice. In this role, you will assist with counting and processing cash ready for banking, entering transactions onto SAGE, filing invoices and bills, and supporting the team with other ad hoc finance duties as required.
You will work closely with the Finance Officer and wider Finance Team, helping to maintain accurate financial records while respecting the confidential nature of hospice information and documentation. This role is ideal for someone with good organisational skills, basic accountancy knowledge and confidence using computer systems including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Previous experience in a finance or accountancy environment, and knowledge of SAGE, would be an advantage.
This role offers flexible volunteering opportunities, ideally one morning or afternoon each week, alongside attendance at induction, mandatory training and occasional training events. The role would suit someone who is reliable, professional, able to work independently and keen to support the vital work of the hospice behind the scenes.
