Position: Digital Skills Trainer - TelfordLocation: Home working with frequent travel across Telford and the Shropshire regionHours: 4 days / 28 hours per week Salary: £24,000 per annum, working 4 days per week (full-time equivalent is £30,000).Employment Status: 12 months, fixed term contract Closing date: Midnight Sunday 17th May 2026

The role
Be part of an existing digital inclusion project in the Telford, Shropshire area. Funded by Capgemini and in association with AbilityNet, the project is designed to empower anyone over the age of 18 who faces digital exclusion including disabled, unemployed, and older people who face digital exclusion. The Digital Skills Trainer is responsible for delivering training to digitally excluded people.
About you
Ideal candidates will have experience delivering both 1:1 and group training sessions, along with the confidence to build strong relationships with individuals and organisations to promote our free services. Above all, you will be passionate about making a difference by helping others develop essential digital skills.
What we're looking for
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience of training delivery (or presentation skills)
- Strong digital literacy skills and IT knowledge
- Excellent personal communication skills
- Good organisation and administration skills
- Experienced user of Office 365
- Be prepared to travel daily to training locations within the region

Location: This role is only open to applicants based in the specified region, due to the geographic scope of delivery (see Appendix 1 of the Job Description for a map of the area covered). Access to reliable transport is essential. Please clearly indicate your location when you apply.
