About the Role
As a Digital Children, Young Person and Family Worker, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide case management to children, young people and families affected by substance misuse (drug and alcohol). You will support individuals across all stages of their recovery journey, from assessment and engagement through to sustained recovery, while promoting the service across the Borough through digital engagement and social media. A key element of this role includes developing a digital roadmap of services for young people, using a strengths-based approach to diversionary activities, education, training and employment opportunities.
What You’ll Do
• Manage a caseload of service users, developing, implementing and reviewing recovery and risk management plans.
• Carry out triage, screening and comprehensive assessments.
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver shared assessments and interventions.
• Deliver structured 1-2-1 and group psychosocial interventions.
• Lead effective safeguarding processes, including risk assessments and safeguarding plans.
• Deliver digital interventions including webinars, virtual groups, webchat, podcasts and online brief interventions.
• Develop and maintain a quality-assured digital resource library for young people and families.
• Support family involvement in recovery using a whole-family approach model.
• Contribute to harm reduction initiatives including drug screening, BBV testing, immunisation and needle exchange.
• Mentor and support volunteers and peer mentors.
• Maintain accurate records and reports using online case management systems.
• Work flexibly across sites, including evenings and weekends, to meet service needs.
To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards this.
• Experience delivering 1-2-1 and group therapeutic interventions.
• Understanding of recovery planning, risk management and safeguarding frameworks.
• Knowledge of substance misuse interventions including MI, PSIs, CBT and ITEP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
• Experience working with young people, families and carers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build effective partnerships.
• Experience using management information systems.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and organisational values.
