Job Purpose

We are creating a new Data Analyst role to accelerate our digital‑first reporting ambitions across the organisation. You will partner with all departments and services to design, build and sustain self‑service reporting and automated insight, primarily via Power BI, connected to our operational systems across Microsoft Dynamics 365 (eCase), Finance & Operations (HR System), and Business Central (Finance & Payroll), and integrated with the broader Microsoft 365 / Power Platform suite.

Main Duties:

  • Establish a digital‑first reporting structure: define common metrics, data standards, and consistent visuals; create reusable dataflows and certified datasets.
  • Design and deliver reliable Power BI datasets, models and reports that provide timely, actionable insight for leaders and frontline teams.
  • Own and evolve core dashboards and reporting pipelines
  • Connect and integrate data from Dynamics 365, F&O, Business Central, SharePoint/OneDrive and other approved sources
  • Implement refresh and validation controls.
  • Automate and orchestrate data processing with Power Query, DAX, and Power Automate
  • Contribute to lightweight ETL patterns aligned to Kibble’s ICT controls.
  • Enable the organisation by running show‑and‑tells, producing user guides and delivering training to deliver self‑service capability while promoting safe, ethical data use.
  • Ensure quality and compliance with apply role‑based access, least‑privilege principles and data protection best practice
  • Advise and assist with the design and implementation of new datasets and electronic systems

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Proven experience designing, modelling and publishing Power BI solutions (including DAX, Power Query, data modelling, row‑level security, refresh).
  • Hands‑on integration experience with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform (e.g., Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint).
  • Working knowledge of Dynamics 365 and Business Central data structures, connectors and APIs.
  • Competent SQL skills and comfort working with relational data.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, with the ability to translate questions into analytical products that influence decisions.

Desired:

  • Experience of Azure data services including Data Factory, Synapse/SQL, Azure Functions or Logic Apps
  • Experience of Python, R and JavaScript
  • Data governance experience including cataloguing/lineage, data dictionaries, metadata standards, and GDPR‑aware practices.
  • DevOps & version control experience
  • Experience of developing user enablement. i.e. creating playbooks, “how‑to” videos, and short training sessions
  • Visualization craft: accessibility, colour‑safe palettes, and narrative data storytelling for non‑technical audiences.
