Job description

Corporate Partnerships Manager (1772)

Are you motivated by winning new business and building long-term, high-value partnerships? Are you a confident relationship-builder who can engage and influence senior stakeholders? Do you bring curiosity, creativity, and a proactive mindset to identifying new opportunities? Are you passionate about the performing arts and the impact they can have on young people?

We are looking for two Corporate Partnerships Managers to play a vital role in delivering and growing a high-value partnerships portfolio that supports the RSC's artistic and charitable mission, meeting ambitious income targets and organisational goals.

This role is central to building lasting corporate partnerships that enable the RSC to create extraordinary work and widen access to the performing arts for young people. You'll play a key part in connecting businesses with inspiring creative opportunities—delivering meaningful impact while driving sustainable income.

It's an exciting time to join the RSC in a period of strategic change and growth. We are at the heart of local, national and international conversations, with an enviable global brand. Corporate partners can support renowned talent on our stages (at home and around the world), work with us to expand commercial opportunities, and help us engage half a million young people every year through our Creative Learning and Engagement programmes. Working within a supportive department, you will have huge opportunity to build and secure large scale, long term, rewarding partnerships.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Partnerships, key areas of responsibility include (please see the Role Profile for the comprehensive list):

  • Developing and managing a pipeline of prospective corporate partners, driving new business growth and delivering excellent account management.
  • Creating compelling, creative partnership propositions aligned to corporate priorities and the RSC's strategic goals.
  • Attending cultivation events; managing and developing new relationships with partners and tailoring stewardship.
  • Securing new partnerships and progressing prospects from initial engagement through to conversion.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to deliver impactful partnership benefits and experiences.
  • Monitoring performance, managing budgets, and using CRM systems (Tessitura) to track activity and report on success.

To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following:

  • Proven experience in fundraising, corporate partnerships, or business development, with a strong track record of generating income
  • A proactive, confident and innovative approach to delivering against income targets
  • Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience developing compelling proposals and delivering successful pitches
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, monitor and deliver against KPIs
  • Commercial awareness, including experience managing budgets and demonstrating value
  • Excellent communication, organisational and influencing skills, with strong attention to detail

The RSC's Development department is split between Stratford-upon-Avon and London. These roles are offered as full-time, permanent positions with one based in Stratford-upon-Avon and the other in London. You can specify your preferred location in the application form.

You will be working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, although occasional evening and weekend work will be required. You will be required to work in the office or on site for a minimum of 3 days per week. Due to the nature of our work, occasional weekend and evening work will be required and there may be some international travel.

You'll be part of a collaborative and creative team at the heart of a globally recognised theatre company, working to connect audiences and supporters with world-class artistic work.

Application Process

All applications should be made online using the RSC website. If you need any assistance when applying, please email jobs@rsc.org.uk

Interviews will be a two-stage process, the first round will be held online on 22 and 23 June. The second round will be in-person on 26 June (Stratford-upon-Avon) and 30 June (London).
