Contract:PermanentAbout the RoleWe are looking for a proactive and highly organised Business Development Officer to join our International Business Development (BD) team. The role will work closely with colleagues across NEBOSH to support the delivery of our international growth plans and the ongoing development of our global Learning Partner network.
The role will focus primarily on processing accreditation applications for new Learning Partners, alongside providing administrative and operational support to the Senior Officer and the wider International BD team. In addition, the role holder will take responsibility for supporting a portfolio of Learning Partners within an international NEBOSH territory, helping to drive performance, gather market intelligence, and identify growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Process accreditation enquiries from organisations seeking to become NEBOSH Learning Partners
- Manage accreditation applications end‑to‑end in line with established processes, using Salesforce CRM
- Conduct scoping meetings with prospective Learning Partners and undertake due diligence reviews
- Follow accreditation workflows through to conclusion, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Provide administrative support to the Senior Officer and International BD team, including diary management, meeting preparation, booking meetings, and organising reports
- Support international events, projects, market visits, and hosting of international visitors
- Manage an allocated portfolio of international Learning Partners, including:
- Scheduling and conducting regular Learning Partner Review Meetings via Microsoft Teams
- Setting annual targets and monitoring performance
- Gathering market intelligence and reporting insights internally
- Identifying new business opportunities and supporting partner growth
- Addressing performance issues and recommending solutions
- Ensure meeting minutes, action logs, and CRM records are accurate and kept up to date
- Contribute to internal reporting and wider international business development activity
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to support proposals for new business
The International BD team operates remotely, with in‑person meetings at the NEBOSH office in Leicester once per month. The role holder will be expected to attend these meetings and may also be required to travel occasionally for training, project work, or international activity.
This is a dynamic role that requires the ability to work independently at times, particularly when the wider team is engaged in international travel or market visits.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience- Experience working in an account executive or account management role (preferred)
- Experience of account management within a fast‑paced or dynamic environment
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to recognise, prioritise, and handle important and sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality
- Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM system
- Proficient use of Microsoft applications, in particularMicrosoft Excel, for managing data, tracking activity, producing reports, and analysing information
- Confident using Microsoft Outlook and Teams for communication, meeting scheduling, and Learning Partner engagement
- Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with an excellent command of English
- Experience attending meetings and producing accurate minutes or action notes
- A flexible and collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a remote and international team
- Degree in Business or Marketing related course (desirable)
- Experience working within an organisation that operates internationally
- Experience of having lived or worked overseas
- Non‑English language skills
- Public speaking or presentation experience
The role may involve some domestic and/or international travel.
