What is the role?As a Senior Specialist in Data Analytics, you'll play a pivotal role in our mission-driven journey.
Reporting to the Head of Information Management, your responsibilities will include:- Provide quality assurance of imported data.
- Commission and decommission data sets.
- Manage and design the reporting environment, including data sources.
- Support initiatives for data integrity.
- Troubleshoot the reporting database environment and reports.
- Train end-users on new reports and dashboards.
- Apply tools and techniques for data analysis and data visualization (including the use of business intelligence tools).
- Identify, collect, and migrate data to and from a range of systems.
- Manage, clean, abstract, and aggregate data alongside a range of analytical studies on that data.
- Manipulate and link different data sets.
- Summarize and present data and conclusions in the most appropriate format for users.
- Experiece in data quality assurance and validation.
- Proficiency in data visulization.
- Application of statistical methods and analysis of a range of data sets.
- Effective skills in accuracy and attention to detail.

Essential - Proficiency in SQL: Essential for extracting, manipulating, and analysing data from databases

Statistical and quantitative analysis: Strong understanding of statistical concepts to interpret data accurately
Desirable - Data modelling and database management: Ability to create and manage data models and warehouses
Desirable - Agile methodologies: Experience with Agile project management tools like JIRA
Continuous learning and adaptability: Staying updated with emerging trends, tools, and methodologies in the BI field

Key Responsibilities- Monitoring
Identify and collect data that may indicate unusual Learning Partner activity (for example rapid LP growth, unusual spikes in registration, unacceptable tutor : learner ratios, pass rates, malpractice rates, learner locations). Identify any advertising / marketing that does not comply with NEBOSH requirements.
- Tutorial observation
Collate schedule of all online tutorial sessions being delivered and observe a representative sample for each Learning Partner in the assigned region.
- Analysis & investigation
Analyse Learning Partner metrics and tutorial performance to enable early identification and investigation of any potential problem behaviour.
- Intervention
Produce improvement plans, assigning actions to Learning Partners ensuring these are completed. Report significant issues and risks directly to the Head of Learning Partner Performance and act upon these issues as agreed.
- Liaison & support
Conduct regular calls / meetings with Learning Partners to improve understanding of Learning Partner needs, identify quality improvement opportunities and build better working relationships between Learning Partners and NEBOSH.
- Reporting
Production of monthly highlight reports / KPIs
KEY SKILLS:- Understanding and experience of working in the vocational educational and training sector
- High levels of integrity and professionalism, and attention to detail
- Experience of developing and maintaining effective working relationships externally, with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure, and to deal with difficult situations via email and in person/video call
- A strong analytical background, Excel skills and the ability to manipulate, interpret and present data
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to produce written reports to a high standard of English. A second, relevant language would be beneficial.
- Willingness and ability to support / collaborate with other Quality Account Managers
- Willingness and ability to support other sections of the Learning Partner Quality section in the completion of their tasks as required
