Bistro Assistant
We’re looking for a Bistro Assistant to join our Hospitality team. This is a permanent role offering between 22.5 and 30 hours per week, supporting a service that helps create a welcoming and caring environment for everyone who comes through our doors.
As a Bistro Assistant, you’ll play an important part in the day-to-day running of our Bistro, working alongside staff and volunteers at our hospice in Cambridge to provide an excellent service for patients, families, visitors, and colleagues.
You’ll prepare and serve hot and cold food, drinks, and snacks and help maintain high standards. We’re looking for someone with excellent customer service skills who can bring compassion and sensitivity to every interaction. Experience in a restaurant, bistro, café, or similar setting is also required.
Our Bistro is open 7 days a week, with shifts from 8am to 4pm. Colleagues work on a rota basis to provide cover across the week.
For full details about the role please see the job description and person specification attached.
Please note that the salary quoted is based on full time hours and will be pro-rata’d for part time posts. As a Charity with limited funds, it is usual practice for new starters to commence on the minimum of the salary band for the role. Exceptionally, and only for candidates demonstrating significant strengths relevant to the role, we may be able to negotiate on this.
We are a Disability Confident employer, and welcome applications from candidates with disabilities. If you would like support to apply, please contact the HR Team by email careers@arhc.org.uk and we will be happy to help.
